The Best Time to Plant an Oak Tree Was 20 Years Ago…
The Next Best Time is RIGHT NOW!
Hello!
I've been building custom homes since 1996. I bought my first lot in 1985 which was a 5 acre wooded lot on the top of a mountain in Colorado at 10,000 ft. of elevation.
After I made the purchase, the county called me and asked if there were 5-6 wells on the property. I said, "No, it's just raw land. Why do you ask?" They then told me I had set the record for the most amount of money ever paid for a lot on Conifer Mountain.
My initial experience is one that many land buyers are familiar with as they begin their journey toward their new log home. This experience, however, can be avoided by first establishing two budgets, one for the land and one for the home.
