Two years living in a log house, how does it feel? Get inspired by Kaisa’s log home.

We’ve been living here for two years. What kinds of feelings has the log house evoked in us? Has living here met our expectations? Is living in a log house differed from living in our previous homes? Have I noticed any clear differences?

During the first weeks in our new home, I kept sniffing the air and hoping to get a sudden realisation of how great the indoor air quality in a log house is. But that never happened during the first weeks, and I forgot all about it. However, when we returned home from a trip, it all came back to me in a flash. The scent of wood was almost intoxicating, and at that moment I understood that I had just got used to the fresh and pure indoor air in our home.

"During this time, the scent of wood has become as important to me as the scent of the sea. It makes me feel at home — calm, relaxed and safe."

Kaisa Turunen, the customer

“I strongly believe that the greatness of log houses lies in the fact that regardless of whether you look at the walls from the inside or the outside, all you can see are the same pines that used to grow in our own forests.”

"Living in a log home is good for our family. Who knows, perhaps a grandchild of ours or even their child will live in this house someday."
